Ford showcases the 2017 Ford Focus, highlighting that it is “not only a great drive”, but also “the most equipped
Focus to date, with features that deliver more by design”.
The 30-second spot, titled “For the Fun of It”, features a senior surprising his teenage granddaughter with his “magician” skills: he does a parallel parking manoeuvre without touching the steering wheel. While she seems to be shocked at first, she soon realizes that it must be one of the car’s available features.
“We all drive, some just for the fun of it.” – says the voiceover at the end of the spot, featuring the song “This Magic Moment” by Lake Street Dive, which was first released by The Drifters in 1960. The multi-genre band founded in 2004 included their version of the iconic song on their 2012 album “Fun Machine”.
The American automaker states that Focus technology includes available active park assist, which provides hands-free parallel parking, while the Reverse Sensing System alerts you when objects are directly behind you, the voice-activated technology SYNC 327, which keeps you connected, and a rear view camera and MyKey, which come standard.
