Doritos invites you to “meet the Heat” in its latest commercial, promoting the new Doritos HeatWave.
The 30-second spot introduces the new flavor as if it were a baby dragon. “At first, it’s all joy, but soon things are gonna heat up” – says the voiceover, while the baby dragon is shown in various situations, spitting fire and destroying all kind of things, such as a Frisbee, his birthday cake, or frightening people, at the cinema for instance, where he leaves a huge flame getting out of his mouth.
His “skills” prove to be also useful in a few circumstances, at carting and at a ride with an air balloon.
The spot ends with the voiceover saying “Doritos HeatWave. First BBQ. Then Heat”.
