Dior showcases, in a new commercial, a selection of the first pieces from its Autumn 2017 collection, now available in boutiques.
The 75-second spot, filmed in black&white and directed by Fabien Baron, stars Jennifer Lawrence presented as “la fille americaine/The American girl” sporting the “Dioraddict” Wallet on Chain Clutch in black Cannage Lambskin, with signature clasp in aged gold-tone metal, the Large supple “Lady Dior” bag in black “Cannage” crinkled calfskin with D.I.O.R. charms in aged gold-tone metal, the Slingback ballerina in black technical canvas with J’adior embroidered ribbon (model from the Summer fashion show), and accessories, such as the “Dio(r)evolution” necklace in aged palladium finish metal, white crystals and black velvet ribbon.
The captures of the bags alternate with images of Jennifer’s legs, blonde hair, and face, with focus on the lips as she puts lipstick on. Objects from the room she’s in, such as the chair, the table and the vase with a flower on it, also get their moment in the spotlight.
The song used in the ad is George Bizet’s most famous work, “Carmen”.
