Lloyds Bank has released again its famous 250 Year Anniversary advert, featuring the iconic black horse.
Set to the rhythms of Birdie’s acoustic version of “Wings”, the spot shows the black horse being where he was needed, for plowing the field, for carrying barrels of water during fires, in times of war and in times of peace and celebration.
The ad, done by Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO, directed by Sam Brown and produced by Rogue, features also Whitby’s historic lifeboat William Riley, the horse stopping when a little girl is running after the wagon transporting milk he’s drawing, and the horse being used for therapy by a physically-impaired woman, in a wheelchair.
Founded by Sampson Lloyd II and John Taylor in Birmingham, in 1765, Lloyds Bank has always aimed to help individuals and households reach their full potential, support businesses in their goals, and be a bank with a deep sense of community at its core.
