BEHR promotes its number 1 rated interior paint, exterior paint and exterior stain in a new commercial, titled “Home Grown”.
The 30-second spot features “the average family’s new but old home”, as it changes through time: initially set up for a couple, described by the voiceover as “two rookies”, and their small dog, it soon becomes the home of adorable girl triplets (“three terrible twos”) and a grandmother (the “wacky wonder named Gran’s), taking care of her grandchildren. We learn that the home, that has its walls painted differently throughout the years, as the girls grow up, “survived multiple personalities (the triplets are very different, with different tastes when it comes to their room and belongings), three staycations, and one tiny announcement” (referring to the news given by one of them that she’s expecting a baby).
The colors featured in the ad are Final Straw S320-3 for the PPUE Exterior before the kids and Garden Vista N430-3 after, Bonfire Night – P200-7 for the door, Vintage Teal MQ6-33 in the kitchen, Chocolate Swirl PPU5-18 in the living room before the kids and Green Plaza MQ4-43 after, and Aquifer MQ6-08, Coral Fountain MQ4-03, and Golden Thread MQ4-13, in the triplets’ room. The brand highlights the paint’s advanced durability, “efortless coverage”, long lasting protection, and the one coat guarantee.
The commercial ends with the voiceover saying the brand’s tagline, “Protecting and perfecting since 1947”.
