Avis Commercial Song – Dad and Little Girl

Avis Girl Commercial

The American car rental company Avis promotes its mobile app in a new commercial, highlighting how easy it is to book online for the best rates.

The 30-second spot titled “Travel Partner” features a dad who prepares his luggage for a business trip when his little daughter shows up and, with a sad look on her face, makes him understand that she doesn’t want him to go. Seeing that he keeps packing, the girl brings in her small colorful bag, already packed, and sits on it, her arms crossed. Faced with her determination, the man takes out his smartphone and, using the Avis app, chooses another type of car and a child car seat.

The spot ends with the voiceover introducing the “brilliant new Avis app”, the company’s latest technological advance, currently available in select markets and on select vehicles, that allows users to book, choose, upgrade, or add a car seat with the tap of a finger.

The soundtrack music is the 1930 song become a jazz standard “On the Sunny Side of the Street”, composed by Jimmy McHugh, with lyrics by Dorothy Fields, that has been played, usually as an instrumental, by such greats as Louis Armstrong, Dave Brubeck, Benny Goodman, Errol Garner, Dizzy Gillespie, Lionel Hampton, and Count Basie.
