Mark Wahlberg, who landed an exclusive deal with AT&T to be its new spokesperson and create original content for it, stars in a series of new ads, promoting the company’s Unlimited Plus Plan with free HBO, DirecTV Premium and home Internet services.
The Deepwater Horizon actor promotes the DIRECTV packages including monthly equipment fees for up to 4 rooms and the HD DVR monthly service fee, in a 30-second spot dubbed “Rooms”, in which a family watches TV not only in the living room, but also in the bathroom and even in the storage room.
“We, the entertainment loving people, want all our rooms to be TV rooms. Cause those are the best rooms. Because they have TVs in them. And when we are not in those rooms, we want our shows to go with us.”, says Wahlberg, walking down a street surrounded by characters from TV shows, such as teenage football players, cheerleaders, robots, and even a giraffe.
The spot ends with the voiceover inviting you to get a DIRECTV all-included package in four rooms and on your favorite devices for $25 a month, when you have the new AT&T Unlimited Plus Plan.
