Maisie Williams – TK Maxx Commercial
TK Maxx has partnered with renowned UK fashion and portrait photographer Rankin, to create the 2017 Red Nose Day T-shirt range for Comic Relief, and has released a spot starring Games of Thrones star Maisie Williams to invite you get your limited edition Red Nose Day T-shirt.
The 20-second ad features multiples “clones” of the 19-year-old English actress showing off the official 2017 T-shirts, while having fun in the Rankomat (a bespoke and modified photo booth designed to recreate Rankin’s signature lighting set up). The T-shirts display nine loveable animals, such dog Sydney and cat Coco, cat Eleanor, horse Charlie, and others, photographed by Rankin specifically for this year’s collection.
This year, the t-shirt campaign for the Red Nose Day (fund-raising event to be held on March 24) is being supported also by the likes of Jack Whitehall, Will Poulter, Joanna Lumley, Heidi Klum and Daisy Lowe. The T-shirts are available in store and online with proceeds (£5 donated from every T-shirt) going to help people living incredibly tough lives across Africa and in the UK.
The song used in the ad is “Apache (Jump On It)” by the American hip hop group The Sugarhill Gang, from their 1998 album “The Big Hit”.
