The Canadian brand Gildan introduces, in its latest commercial, the next generation of underwear: Gildan Stretch, and invites all men to not wear their dad’s underwear.
“It was your dad who taught you the meaning of hard work. He taught you to roll up your sleeve and get at it. He taught you to take pride in a job well done.”, says the voiceover at the beginning of the 30-second spot, featuring dads in nothing but briefs (one of them is looking into the fridge in the middle of the night, while scratching his big belly, another one is having his morning coffee in front of the window, and another one is cleaning up the pool). “But don’t wear your dad’s underwear”, continues the voiceover, mentioning that “Gildan is designed for comfort and durability for life in the 21st century”.
“Step into your own. Your dad will be proud”, recommends the voiceover as the spot comes to its end, adding “The nest generation of underwear, Gildan”.
