AT&T continues its new March Madness campaign, highlighting the users’ ability to watch games on-the-go or in distinct locations, with a new commercial starring sportscaster Greg Gumbel and actor/comedian Dan Finnerty.
The 30-second spot features the duo showing up in a break room, where Seth David (in-studio analyst for CBS’ NCAA men’s college basketball coverage with Clark Kellogg, Doug Gottlieb, and host Greg Gumbel) wants to grab something to eat. Finnerty, with the microphone in his hand, starts singing, to the tune of Aerosmith’s 1998 single “I Don’t Wanna Miss A Thing”, as follows: “You need a snack before the half time show, but there’s an upset happening in there, it’s crazy said you don’t wanna miss a thing”. At this point, Gumbel explains to the man, using a tablet, that, with DIRECTV from AT&T, he can stream all his live NCAA March Madness games on his devices. “Nice”, says Davis.
The ad ends with the voiceover inviting you to stream live March Madness with DIRECTV on your devices with DIRECTV from AT&T. The information that AT&T is proud partner of NCAA March Madness is also displayed.
