Amazon Echo has released a series of new ads, starring Reggie Miller, celebrating its status of official partner of the NCAA.
The American retired professional basketball player who played his entire 18-year National Basketball Association
career with the Indiana Pacers does a lot of things with Amazon Echo, from coming clean, to jaming out to his favorite tune, showing some hustle, and looking alive out there.
The 15-second spot titled “Reggie turns up with the Amazon Echo” features Miller in the kitchen preparing a
sandwich and singing Seal’s 1994 single “Kiss From A Rose”. When a mascot wearing a jersey number 31 (note:
Miller wore jersey number 31 while playing for The Pacers), shows up, miming that he doesn’t hear very well
the song, Miller asks Alexa to turn it up and then starts to perform like a real singer, but using the
mustard bottle instead of a microphone.
The spot ends with Amazon Echo’s logo and the onscreen line “Official partner of the NCAA”.
Amazon Echo is a hands-free speaker you control with your voice. Echo connects to the Alexa Voice Service
to play music, provide information, news, sports scores, weather, and more – instantly. All you have to do is ask.
