Clorox has released a new ad campaign, titled “The Break Up”, with a series of spots inviting you to break up with your brush because you deserve better.
The extended cut of the spot “The Break Up” features a woman in a restaurant breaking up with the toilet brush, who’s on the other side of the table.
“Um, it’s not you. Well, it is you. Look, I just need to move on. What we have here, it…it stinks”, says the woman with a sympathetic voice, as if she didn’t want to hurt the brush’s feelings.
“It’s because I’m too old-fashioned, right?”, asks the brush.
“I’m always cleaning up after you. And you just sit in the corner and just….Ewww…”, adds the woman looking at him. “Listen, I know that this is not the first time you’ve been dumped”, tries the woman to continue her “breaking-up speech”.
“Does your sister have a toilet?”, wants to know the brush.
The spot ends with the voiceover saying “Clorox ToiletWand – smarter, cleaner, better. With built-in cleaner that kills 99.9% of germs”, and advising you to “break up with the brush”.
