Turkish Airlines Commercial 2017 – Didier Drogba
Turkish Airlines invites you, in its latest commercial, to sit next to Drogba on your next flight to Africa.
The 60-second spot, released to hightlight there are more than over 40 African destinations for your next journey with Turkish Airlines, features the Ivorian professional footballer on a plane, going back home.
“In the past, I looked to the West and East for inspiration and prosperity. But now I look back home to Africa”, says Drogba, describing his home continent as “vibrant” and “full of passionate people”. He adds that now his nation has something “more powerful”, namely “ambition and belief”. “When I look at Africa, I see wonderful possibilities for everyone. Africa is… Africa is the future”, says Drogba, while on the screen viewers get to see landscapes, locals, artists, sportspeople, children, and, besides that, activities that could be carried out in some places in Africa, such as sandboarding.
The spot, featuring the song “The Chant (Iquo Isang)” by Ibibio Sound Machine, ends with Drogba saying “Discover Africa with us”.
