Squarespace Commercial 2017 – John Malkovich

The hosting service and domain name registrar Squarespace invites you to “get your domain before it’s gone” in its Super Bowl commercial, starring John Malkovich.

The company’s fourth consecutive spot for the Big Game features the famous actor trying to register a domain containing his name to set up a website for his fashion brand and finding that it is already owned by someone else, who has made it “the ultimate fishing site”. His next move? Trying to discover who is being John Malkovich. The e-mail he writes, backed by his assistant, contains many questions and the word “fuc*” is almost in every one of them (“What the fuc*?”, “What the fuc* – underlined – is going on?”). He is definitely pissed off and doesn’t hesitate to show it. “Sincerely, Also John Malkovich”, ends the actor his e-mail, saying then to his assistant that he will just call the guy.

The spot ends with the onscreen line “Get your domain before it’s gone”.
