Mr. Mucus – Mucinex Commercial
Mucinex has released a new commercial, inviting you to try the new Mucinex Fast-Max Clear and Cool in order to clear out your worst cold symptoms.
The 30-second spot, titled “Birthday Party”, features a young woman in her kitchen, preparing sweets for a birthday party. Mr. Mucus, dressed in a clown costume, shows up in the kitchen, saying “I’ll take it from here”.
“I’m good”, answers the woman. “I just took the new Mucinex Clear&Cool”.
“What is this cooling happening?”, asks Mr. Mucus, confused.
“It’s got a menthol burst. You can feel it right away”.
“Wow, this kinda’ blindsided me”, says Mr. Mucus.
“And it cures the terrible cold symptoms”, adds the woman.
At this point, a “real” clown shows up, determining Mr. Mucus to say “This is weird”.
The spot ends with the voiceover recommending you to “start the relief”, “ditch the misery” and adding the tagline “Let’s end this”.
