Coming Through the Rye (2016 Movie)
Coming Through the Rye is an upcoming indie drama about a 16-year-old boy who adapts J.D. Salinger’s novel The Catcher in the Rye as a play and runs away from his all-boys boarding school, where he is bullied, to search for the book’s author. Along the way, he meets a girl and their journey together to find Salinger becomes a journey of sexual awakening, the discovery of love and of the meaning of one’s life.
Written and directed by James Sadwith, the film stars Alex Wolff, Stefania Owen, Chris Cooper, Adrian Pasdar and is scheduled to be released in US theaters on October 14.
