London Town (2016 Movie)

London Town is a coming-of-age story, set in 1979’s London, about a 14-year-old boy whose life is completely changed after discovering The Clash.

The film features the kid going on a path of self-discovery and a lot of music of the famous punk band, which inspired and influenced an entire generation. Directed by Derrick Borte, the film stars Daniel Huttlestone in the leading role, Jonathan Rhys Meyers as The Clash frontman, Joe Strummer, Tom Hughes, Natascha McElhone, Kerry Howard, Meredith Ostrom, Jeff Leach and others.
Its release in theaters and on VOD is scheduled for October 7.
The music featured in the film is by the Buzzcocks, The Stranglers, Toots and the Maytals, Willie Williams, Stiff Little Fingers and, obviously, The Clash.
The song played by the teenager on a piano to his girlfriend is “White Riot”.
