Land of Mine (2016 Movie)
The Danish-German historical drama film Land of Mine, directed by Martin Zandvliet, will be released in theaters this winter, on December 9.
The feature, inspired by true events, tells the story of a group of young German soldiers handed over to Danish authorities after World War II and forced to remove, with their bare hands, the mines placed in the sand along the West Coast of Denmark.
Its world premiere took place at the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival, where it received a standing ovation. It has won numerous awards, including Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor and Best Danish Film at the Bodil Awards and was it was selected to play at Sundance in 2016.
