Girl Asleep (2016 Movie)
The Australian coming of age drama film Girl Asleep will be released in Australia theaters on September 8.
Written by Matthew Whittet and directed by Rosemary Myers, the movie follows Greta Driscoll, a shy and awkward 14-year-old teenager holding on to adolescence, who is propelled, during her 15th birthday party, into a weird parallel place, weirdly erotic, a little bit violent and thoroughly ludicrous, where she is challenged to find herself.
The cast includes Bethany Whitmore, Tilly Cobham-Hervey, Imogen Archer, Harrison Feldman, Amber McMahon, Eamon Farren, Matthew Whittet and Maiah Stewardson.
The song used in the trailer is “Take A Long Line” performed by the Australian rock band The Angels.
