The Intervention (2016 Movie)
American actress Clea DuVall makes her directorial debut with the dramedy The Intervention, centered around four couples whose weekend trip at a country house gets tensed when one of the couples discover that the getaway is actually a planned intervention on their marriage.
The film stars Melanie Lynskey, Cobie Smulders, Vincent Piazza, Natasha Lyonne, Jason Ritter, Ben Schwartz, Alia Shawkat and Clea DuVall, and is scheduled to be released on August 26.
The track playing in the official trailer is composed for this movie and performed by the Canadian indie pop duo Tegan and Sara, comprising identical twin sisters Regan Rain Quin and Sara Keirsten Quin. The lyrics that can be heard in the trailer are, obviously, in line with the plot: “every single word, every single word’s another lie/You were waiting, waiting on our goodbye/ Waiting on a fadeout”.
The sountrack for the movie has been written by Sara Quin.
