Shelley (2016 Movie)
Shelley is Danish drama film about a rich couple, Louise and Kasper, who want to become parents but can’t have children because of her. Their Romanian maid, Elena, accept to be a surrogate mother for them, but things don’t turn out as they planned.
Directed by Ali Abbasi, who makes his debut, Shelley stars Ellen Dorrit Petersen as Louise, Peter Christoffersen as Kasper and Cosmina Stratan as Elena.
The soundtrack music, done by Martin Dirkov and Rune Bjerre Sand, supports the creepy atmosphere created by the young housekeeper’s pregnancy, which affects the lives of everyone like an evil force.
The film had its world premiere at Panorama section at the 2016 Berlin International Film Festival.
