Samsung Australia has released a new ad campaign, with the slogan #DoWhatYouCant, to celebrate the athletes participating at the 2016 Olympic Games, as proud sponsor of the event and of those who defy barriers.
Based on the idea that “progress comes from doing what can’t be done”, one of the spots, titled “A 40-year-old can’t debut at the Olympic Games”, introduces Australian marathon runner and Olympic Games debutant Scott Westcott, talking about his his long and arduous journey to Rio 2016.
“I’ve never qualified before, unpassed my pride. The other competitors are young and I’m making my Olympic Games debut at the age of 40. History says that it can’t be done. What’s history ever got right?”
Westcott, who is a husband and father of three and working with Athletics NSW, will represent Australia in the marathon at the 2016 Olympic Games.
