Powerade Commercial 2016 – Shakur Stevenson
Powerade has released a series of commercials starring U.S. Olympians to highlight that anyone can achieve their dreams and to show its support to the athletes participating at Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
The 15-second “Fighter” spot features the American boxer Shakur Stevenson with the voiceover saying: “Fighters don’t choose to become fighters”. Stevenson, who was “Just a Kid from Newark” before becoming an U.S. Olympian Hopeful, wears a black sweatshirt with the text “There’s More Where I Came From” and looks down at the ground. After a few seconds, he raises his eyes and looks into the camera.
The final onscreen lines are “Just a Kid from Newark” and “Powerade – Fueling Olympians”.
