Amazon Prime Series 2016: The Girlfriend Experience
The 2016 American drama series The Girlfriend Experience, broadcast in US by STARZ, will be available also in Britain, Germany and Austria starting July 4, and also in Japan, later this year, thanks to Amazon Prime Video, which has acquired the first-run rights from STARZ Digital.
Steven Soderbergh’s show, of 13 episodes, follows Christine Reade, a second-year law student and a new intern at a prestigious company,
who is drawn by a classmate into the world of “transactional relationships”.
The title role is played by Elvis Presley’s granddaughter Riley Keough. The cast members also include Paul Sparks, Mary Lynn Rajskub
and Kate Lyn Sheil.
The track used in the trailer launch is “Bloom Town”, composed by the French musician François Rousseau, known as CIRC.
