Westworld is an upcoming sci-fi thriller series, based on the 1973 film of the same name, which will air on HBO starting this fall, in October.
The new series, created by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, follows the story of a futuristic theme park called Westworld, populated by artificial beings who can be whoever they want.
The main cast includes Anthony Hopkins as Dr. Robert Ford, the brilliant creative director of Westworld, Ed Harris as the Man in Black, a mysterious villain, Evan Rachel Wood as Dolores Abernathy, a Western girl who discovers her entire life is an elaborately constructed lie, Jeffrey Wright as Bernard Lowe, head of the Westworld Programming Division and creator of artificial people, and others.
The first season will comprise 10 episodes, with a duration of one-hour each.
