Anthropoid – 2016 Movie
Anthropoid is an upcoming thriller movie inspired by the true story of “Operation Anthropoid,” the code name for the Czech operatives’ mission to assassinate SS officer Reinhard Heydrich, leader of Nazi forces in Czechoslovakia, during the World War II.
Set in December 1941, the film follows the Czechoslovak soldiers Josef Gabcík and Jan Kubiš, who must find a way, with very limited resources, to assassinate Heidrich, the Reich’s third in command behind Hitler and Himmler.
Directed by Sean Ellis, Anthropoid stars Cillian Murphy, Jamie Dornan, Harry Lloyd, Toby Jones, Sam Keeley, Charlotte Le Bon, Bill Milner, Anna Geislerova, Alena Mihulova and others, and is set to be released in US theaters on August 12.
