Morgan (2016 movie)
After her roles in the political drama series House of Cards and in The Martian, which brought her worlwide recognition for her acting skills, Kate Mara has been cast as the lead in the upcoming sci-fi thriller Morgan, scheduled to be released this fall, on September 2nd.
The 33-year-old American actress stars as a corporate risk management consultant sent to a remote, top-secret location, to investigate a terryfing accident in a research lab and determine whether or not to terminate an artificial being named Morgan, that may become a threat for its creators.
Filming began on May 26, in Northern Ireland, with Luke Scott, the son of Ridley Scott (The Martian, Alien: Covenant) as director.
The cast includes also Anya Taylor-Joy, Toby Jones, Rose Leslie, Boyd Holbrook, Michelle Yeoh, Jennifer Jason Leigh, and Paul Giamatti.
