
My Mad Fat Diary
My Mad Fat Diary is a British comedy-drama TV series, adapted from “My Fat, Mad Teenage Diary” written by Rae Earl.
Set in Stamford, Lincolnshire, in the mid ’90s, the show is centered around Rae, a troubled young girl, with mental health and body image issues, who has spent four months in a psychiatric hospital after attempting suicide. The 16-year-old teenager begins to reconnect with her best friend and her group, who think that she was in France all this time.
The TV series debuted on E4 in January 2013 and, after three series and sixteen episodes, it broacasted its final episode on July 6, 2015.
The cast comprises Jodie Comer, Ciara Baxendale, Dan Cohen, Sharon Rooney and others.
