Diesel has released a new ad starring Steve Aoki to showcase the new Diesel On Full Guard 2.5 Touchscreen Smartwatch, powered by Wear OS by Google(TM).
The spot opens with the DJ/producer skating until a message from his mom, announcing him that dinner is at 8, makes him stop. A phone call and a reminder that he’s having a training with Martin in 60 minutes determine him to drop the skateboard and sprint toward the house. On the way, he checks his heart rate on his Diesel touchscreen smartwatch and, noticing the alert of the weather change, rushes to get inside as fast as possible.
Compatible with both iOS and Android smartphones, this smartwatch boasts unique dials, designed to add even more personality, with visual enhancements like iridescent crystal effects and color-changing watch faces. Other key features include water-resistance, GPC-tracking, a system that supports payments with Google Pay in select countries, and the voice-activated Google Assistant.
Steve Aoki was announced as the new face of Diesel’s new watch collection earlier this year, in August. He thus fronts a global multimillion-dollar campaign, which also includes billboards, digital/social and point-of-sale assets in the U.S., Germany, France, Italy, Japan and China, and is set to run throughout the year. The electronic dance music producer said he plans on wearing his Diesel watches wherever he goes, especially on tour. In 2017, he partenered with Asics to serve as a brand ambassador and footwear designer.
