Netflix has released the official trailer for its upcoming musical, Been So Long.
Set against the backdrop of London’s Camden Town, the film, described as “a neon soaked, modern day romance,” follows – according to the official synopsis – Simone (Michaela Coel), “a dedicated single mother who, on a rare night on the town is charmed by a handsome yet troubled stranger, Raymond (Arinzé Kene), igniting old and new feelings”.
Directed by Tinge Krishnan based on the play by Ché Walker and Arthur Darvill, Been So Long also stars George MacKay, Joe Dempsie, Ashley Thomas, and Ronke Adekoluejo.
“This is Camden, where everyone has a story. Who is it against the whole wide world to me ” Coel’s character is heard saying in voiceover at the beginning of the trailer, which gives viewers a glimpse into Simone and Raymond’s love story. The songs played in the trailer are by Production Music, specifically created for the film.
Been So Long will premiere on Netflix on October 26.
