Jennifer Lawrence showcases looks from Dior’s Fall 2018 Ready-to-Wear collection, designed by Maria Grazia Chiuri, in a new ad.
Wearing outfits made from unashamedly masculine fabrics, that the acclaimed actress and Dior muse channels the self-portraits of Surrealist artist Claude Cahun for Brigitte Lacombe’s camera. The Dior21st flap bag in black shiny lambskin, the “DiorUnit” Oxford shoe in off-white and black matt calfskin leather, and the “Dior Or” choker in aged gold-tone and palladium-finish metal, black lacquer and black grosgrain ribbon are among the pieces featured in the campaign film.
The soundtrack music is “Crown Violet” produced by Kamandi and performed by rapper Azizi Gibson.
Jennifer Lawrence said, in an interview for the French fashion label, that she likes “Maria Grazia’s use of feminine silhouettes shaped with masculine structures” and that there’s a “great coat in this collection” that she thinks she’s going to wear “every day, even in the summer”.
A selection of the first pieces from the Fall 2018 collection is now available for purchase in boutiques.
