Volvo showcases, in its latest commercial, the new Volvo V60, described as “a versatile family estate car that helps you make the most of every moment”.
The spot features a young woman driving a V60 and enjoying every moment spent in the car, in the company of her husband and daughter and also in the company of her friends. When she is alone at the wheel and speeds down the road, she seems to be confident and relaxed.
At the end of the spot, the text “Introducing the next Volvo V60” flashes across the screen.
The soundtrack music is a song titled “New Motion” by Lowtus featuring Ronia, which will be released on all platforms Friday, February 23rd.
The automaker states that you will be at the centre of an engaging driving experience thanks to the V60’s advanced chassis, powerful engines and a choice of driving modes, while the interior, featuring “uncluttered Scandinavian design” combined with a “refined sense of luxury” and smart technology, will help you enjoy every moment spent on the road.
The V60 features a T8 Twin Engine with a plug-in hybrid powertrain that delivers strong performance thanks to the combination of a four-cylinder petrol engine driving the front wheels and an electric motor driving the rear wheels. In terms of space, it has one of the largest load compartments in the segment, with a volume of 529 litres to the top of the rear backrest. The V60 is available with a panoramic roof that bathes the interior in natural light and a power-operated sunshade made of perforated material that makes it easy to keep strong light out if necessary. A vertical 9-inch touch screen so responsive that you can use it wearing gloves and a digital driver display behind the steering wheel that puts important information directly in front of you and automatically adjusts brightness to the surrounding light conditions are some of the other elements aimed at making driving easier and more enjoyable. For a top-level sound system, Volvo collaborated with acclaimed audio manufacturer Bowers & Wilkins. The V60 boasts the Harman Kardon Premium Sound system, which guarantees a high-level sound experience, with 600 watts delivered to its 14 speakers through a 12-channel amplifier, and allows driver and passengers to access all their music on the move thanks to seamless smartphone integration.
V60’s safety features include City Safety, a Volvo Cars innovation that helps to protect people inside and outside the V60 by looking out for potential danger, such as other vehicles, cyclists, pedestrians and large animals ahead, day or night, warning the driver and automatically applying the brakes, if the driver doesn’t react in time.
According to the car manufacturer, in the V60, City Safety also includes Steering Support, which helps the driver to steer away from danger as effectively and safely as possible.
