Toyota showcases the 2018 Camry in a new ad, encouraging people to go ahead and treat themselves.
The 30-second spot, titled “Indulge”, opens with a young woman at work who shuts down her computer and leaves the office to go on a spontaneous trip.
In the parking lot, she takes a pair of sneakers out of the trunk, puts them on and gets at the wheel of her 2018 Toyota Camry XSE. After putting on the seatbelt, she pushes the Start/Stop Engine button, turns on the radio and hits the road. As she speeds down a highway, a smile brightens her face.
Among the car features shown in the ad are the available gloss-black grille with sport mesh insert, the available dual exhaust with quad chrome tips, the 19-in. alloy wheels, the LED highlights with LED DRL, the LED taillights, the Cockpit-Red leather-trimmed interior, the panoramic glass roof, the newly developed Direct Shift 8-Speed Automatic Transmission, the 8-in. multimedia touch-screen with intuitive pinch-and-zoom navigation controls, the new Entune 3.0 system, the 9-speaker, 800-watt Entune 3.0 Premium Audio with JBL w/Clari-Fi, and others.
The soundtrack music is the international hit single “The Look” by the Swedish pop duo Roxette, from their second studio album, “Look Sharp!”, launched in 1988. The song was released in early 1989 and was one of the most successful singles of that year.
In terms of engine, Camry offers a choice of gasoline engines, the all-new 2.5-liter Dynamic Force 4-cylinder and a new 3.5-liter V6, each delivering, according to the automaker, “a sophisticated blend of performance and efficiency”.
This is only one of the seven ads released by the automaker showcasing the 2018 Toyota Camry. The others focus on specific features, like the engine, the safety features, including the TSS Pre-Collision System, available panoramic glass roof, which could turn every route into a scenic one, the available Bird’s Eye View Camera, and others.
