Citi continues its “Welcome What’s Next” campaign with a new ad.
The campaign, created by agency Publicis, aims to highlight that Citi could help its customers experience a range of positive feelings and emotions, illustrated through a series of spots, thanks to its products and services, that include credit cards offering low introductory interest rates, no annual fees, rewards or cash back, the Citi Private Pass, which enable customers to enjoy special access to tickets to the best in music, sports and dining, and the Citi Mobile App.
The latest spot, titled “Rain”, features a little girl getting outside the house on a rainy day and enjoying every single moment spent in the rain, playing, dancing and running around. “What if a bank could help you feel a little more of this?” – is the question raised by Citi, while in the background the iconic song “Singin’ in the Rain” by Gene Kelly (from the 1952 American musical-romantic comedy film Singin’ in the Rain) is playing.
The commercial, ending with the tagline “Welcome what’s next”, is the second one part of this campaign. A week ago,
a commercial featuring a man riding a shopping cart in the parking lot of a supermarket, with Pixies’ 1989 hit single “Here comes your man” serving as soundtrack, was released.
