Beats continues its ad campaign with a new ad starring Connor McGgregor, released a few days ahead of his fight with Floyd Mayweather.
The Irish mixed martial artist and professional boxer, who partnered with Dr. Dre’s leadign auto brand in May, is featured in a more than 3-minute short film, aiming to chronicle his path to success by telling the story of “a fighting Irishman who became one of the world’s highest paid and most head-turning athletes out there today.”
“The world is a noisy place. Whether you’re chasing boxing history or the thing that matters most to you, it’s important to block out the distractions and remember how you got here.” – is the message conveyed in the promo, directed by James Lees and launched with the tagline AboveTheNoise, which draws from McGregor’s days as a kid in Crumlin, Ireland, and flashes back and forth, with him in the present, getting ready to enter the ring while listening in Beats headphones The Notorious B.I.G.’s hit “Juicy”.
McGregor meets Mayweatherat T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, on Saturday, August 25. The event airs on pay-per-view for a high-definition price tag of $99.95.
