Lionsgate has released a first trailer for the upcoming sci-fi thriller Rememory.
Directed by Mark Palansky, the film follows a sort of detective played by Game of Thrones star Peter Dinklage, who embarks on a mission to solve the mysterious murder of Gordon Dunn, a visionary scientific pioneer that invented a device able to extract memories from people’s brain and display them.
The cast includes also Julia Ormond, Martin Donovan, Anton Yelchin, Henry Ian Cusick, and Evelyne Brochu.
The trailer, carrying the message “Digging up the past can bury you”, features Dinklage’s character showing up at the professor’s house to find his widowed wife and, motivated by the fact that he had saved his life, telling her that he will try to find out what happened with him. He steals the machine invented by Dunn and sets out to see the memories of those who have been near him, who has been shot multiple times in his office. As he keeps investigating, more people keep dying and a web of intrigue is uncovered.
Rememory will premiere first on Google Play on August 24th, where it will be free for a limited time, and will be released in theaters on September 8th.
