Hyundai presents the new 2018 Sonata, coming this July, in a commercial showing you how the brand’s best Sonata ever is making every mile of your commute better.
The 30-second spot, dubbed “Duet”, features a guy at the wheel of a red Sonata at a rush hour. Even though he is stuck in a traffic jam, he’s singing out loud, without any embarrassment, along to Neil Diamond’s “Sweet Caroline” that he’s listening while driving, making the other drivers look at him askance. However, he soon finds a driver – a lady in the next lane – who, seeing our “protagonist” enjoy his ride, starts singing, as well. As the filming angle changes, we get to see that she is driving a Sonata, as well, but a blue one.
The spot ends with the campaign tagline, “Happy drivers make better drivers” and with the voiceover urging you to “make your commute a little sweeter in newly redesigned Hyunday Sonata, our best Sonata ever”.
The 2018 Sonata features Integrated Memory System (IMS) for Driver seat & side mirrors, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless charging, heated and ventilated front seats, hands-free smart trunk, and safety features including Blind Spot Detection with Rear Cross-traffic Alert and Lane Change Assist, Automatic Emergency Braking, Smart Cruise Control, and more.
