UnitedHealthcare Commercial - Dad Walking

UnitedHealthcare promotes, in a new commercial, its UnitedHealthcare Motion program, which enables users to earn money for out-of-pocket medical expenses just by walking, running, dancing or any other type of movement.

The 30-second spot, titled “Walk This Way, Dad”, features a man who’s taking advantage by the UnitedHealthcare Motion reward program and uses a wearable device to track his physical activity, which includes lots of steps, as he walks instead of using his car or public transportation means, running, dancing at a Father-Daughter Dance Party, where he stumbles across a table while showing off his dance moves.

UnitedHealthcare Motion, which brings technology and wellness together in order to help people live healthier,
more active lives with fewer health problems. Participants are given an activity tracker at no additional cost, that tracks their steps and give real-time updates so they can watch their progress, set goals and earn financial incentives when they reach daily walking targets. For reaching these daily targets, participants can earn up to $4 per day in Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) deposits and $3 per day in Health Savings Account (HSA) deposits, and up to $1500 per year.

The song used in this ad is Aerosmith’s 1975 hit “Walk This Way”, from their album “Toys in the Attic”.
