IBM has launched a new ad campaign, presenting Watson and the way it functions to help businesses work faster and smarter.

The campaign, aiming to highlight that Watson is working with people everywhere, on sea, on land and in the air, in 45 countries and 20 industries, helping not only businesses, but also hospitals, students, educators, athletes and more, includes several spots, showing the wide range of activities Watson performs, from inspecting towers way up high, avoiding turbulence in the sky, personalizing treatments with DNA and recommending who should play as basketball professional player, which crops to grow, helping fashion designers create a dress that thinks, tax prep to help keep payments low, and many more.

“You can find me on an oil rig, I answer questions small and big, Hello, my name is Watson.” – this is how Watson introduces itself.

IBM also highlights that, thanks to Watson, 1 millions patients can benefit from precision cancer care, 100.000 weather sensors are helping predict disasters, 197 million passengers can fly with less turbulence, 50 million people can achieve their fitness goals, 90 government agencies in California can fight drought, fashion designers are creating dresses that think, music producers are using data to inspire their next hit song, and 8 million taxpayers get help receiving the refund they deserve.

“Today, we are saving money, spotting trends, creating hits, breaking records, improving care, fighting crime, conserving energy, inventing dishes, making art, increasing efficiency, finding answers, speeding launches, increasing crop yields, preventing accidents, finding precedents, treating pets, sharing expertise, opening minds, work with Watson” – are the final onscreen lines in one of the spots, titled “Today with Watson”.
According to IBM, Watson can understand all forms of data, interact naturally with people, and learn and reason, at scale.

With Watson, you can analyze and interpret all of your data, including unstructured text, images, audio and video, you can provide personalized recommendations by understanding a user’s personality, tone, and emotion, you can utilize machine learning to grow the subject matter expertise in your apps and systems, and create chat bots that can engage in dialog.
