Wendy’s informs us, in its latest commercial, that the quarter-pound Double Stack is now in the 4 for $4.
“Squirrels should not be able to fly. Yet some can. The quarter-pound Double Stack should not be in the Wendy’s 4 for $4. Yet it is” – this is the idea behind the 15-second spot, presenting these “two real impossibilities”, out of which one is a “delicious deal”. The ad features a news presenter spreading the news that Wendy’s is adding the Double Stack as an option in the 4 for $4 for a limited time. “With a quarter-pound of fresh beef, that’s a deal so good it should not exist”, says the presenter, adding “like our squirrels should not be able to fly”. At this point, viewers can see on the screen a flying squirrel sharing her opinion about the lady’s idea: “What? That’s nuts!”.
“A deal so great, it’s impossibly good”, says the voiceover at the end of the spot. The American international fast food restaurant chain mentions that the offer, available at participating Wendy’s for a limited time and not valid in Alaska and Hawaii, includes 4-piece nuggets, small fries and a drink.
