HSBC highlights that it remains a committed partner to world rugby, with ongoing partnership with the HSBC Sevens World Series, in a new advert.
The 60-second spot, set to the rhythms of “Come On!” by The Hives, features the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series ball’s journey across several places from around the world, where the Sevens Series takes place, such as Canada, Paris, London, Las Vegas, Cape Town, Dubai, through rivers and seas, until it gets where it wants, at the game it wants to play, rugby. The ball arrives at the feet of a rugby player, who grabs it and gets on the field.
The advert is released with a letter signed by the “travelling ball” as follows: This is where I belong. Not one place but all over the place. Travelling the world in search of the fittest, the strongest, the best. Passed longer. Carried further. Intercepted and offloaded. Again and again and again…. I have felt the buzz of Rio, but now I seek the glamour of Paris and the madness of Hong Kong. I want the dryness of Dubai and the drizzle of London. Here I am, the centre of attention. I revel in the roar of the crowds. This is the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series. This is the game I want to play. Yours, The HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series Ball”.
The 2016-17 HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series continues on April 7, at Hong Kong. On April 15 and 16 it will be in Singapore, on May 13 and 14 in Paris and on May 21 and 21 in London.
