Amazon Echo has released a series of new ads, starring Reggie Miller, celebrating its status of official partner of the NCAA.
The American retired professional basketball player who played his entire 18-year National Basketball Association career with the Indiana Pacers does a lot of things with Amazon Echo, from coming clean, jaming out to his favorite tune, showing some hustle, and looking alive out there.
The 15-second spot “Reggie looks alive out there thanks to Amazon Echo” features Miller in bed, with two sportscasters in his bedroom, sitting on chairs and commenting that he is off on a slow start. The next moment, Amazon Echo comes to the rescue, with Alexa turning on the coffee maker upon his request.
“Oh, that’s not in the playbook, but it should be”, says one of the sportscasters after hearing Alexa saying “Ok”.
“They don’t call him cream and sugar for nothing”, says the other sportscaster. Opening an eye, Miller answers “No, they don’t call me cream and sugar”. “Exactly”, replies the sportscaster who was being ironic.
The spot ends with Amazon Echo’s logo and the onscreen line “Official partner of the NCAA”.
Amazon Echo is a hands-free speaker you control with your voice. Echo connects to the Alexa Voice Service to play music, provide information, news, sports scores, weather, and more – instantly. All you have to do is ask.
