Samsung Australia has released a new ad campaign, with the slogan #DoWhatYouCant, to celebrate the athletes participating at the 2016 Olympic Games, as proud sponsor of the event and of those who defy barriers.
Based on the idea that “progress comes from doing what can’t be done”, one of the spots, titled “You can’t compete after a life-threatening accident”, introduces the unbreakable Olympic equestrian Shane Rose, who has overcome life-threatening accidents and illnesses to compete at the 2016 Olympics.
The sportsman talks about this experience: “I’ve always listened to the they says. So when they said I can’t come back after cancer, I listened. After I split my liver, punctured my lungs, they told me I can’t keep riding. And I listened again. Then I came out of my coma. They said I can’t compete anymore, so of course I listened. But I did it anyway. Because being told you can’t do something is the world’s greatest motivator”.
