Septembers of Shiraz (2016 Movie)

Adrien Brody and Salma Hayek teamed up as husband and wife for a drama film about a Jewish family that, after creating a comfortable life in Tehran (Iran), is forced to abandon everything because of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.
Brody inhabits the character of Isaac Amin, a jeweller who is taken from his office, after being accused of dealing with Mossad, and incarcerated in a secret prison, where is subjected to agonizing interrogations. His wife, Farnez (Hayek), not allowed to see him under no circumstances, has to find a way to save her family from the repression.
The cast includes also Shohreh Aghdashloo, Anthony Azizi, Bashar Rahal and Alon Aboutboul.
Based on Dalia Sofer’s autobiographical novel of the same name, the American production, directed by Wayne Blair, premiered at the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival on September 15, 2015. The release in US theaters is scheduled for June 23, 2016.
